Welcome to the website of the Southern California Counseling Center (“SCCC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website (the “Site”), you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). 2. Use of the Site
1.Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use this Site. If you are under 18, you must have the permission of a parent or guardian.
2.Account Creation (if applicable): When creating an account or submitting any form on our Site, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials and for all activities conducted under your account.

•Intake Sessions: If you request an intake session, we may collect your name, email address, and phone number.
•Donations: If you donate to SCCC, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and payment details (processed via a third-party payment processor, such as Stripe).
•Training Applications: If you submit an application for training opportunities, workshops, or internships, we may collect application-related data such as your educational and professional background, references, and other information relevant to the training process.
2.Use of Information:
•We use the information collected to provide services, process donations, process training applications, send receipts, respond to inquiries, and improve our offerings.
•Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

- If you request an intake session and consent to receive SMS alerts, you can expect:
- Confirmation and notification emails regarding scheduled sessions
- Messages will be sent roughly 2 times per week, though message frequency varies
- Message and data rates may apple
- At any point, you can text HELP for more information/help
- At any point you can text STOP to opt out of texting

3.Payment Processing:
•Donations or payments made through the Site may be processed by third-party processors (e.g., Stripe, Blackbaud). We do not store your full payment card details.
•Your use of any third-party payment processor is governed by that processor’s terms and policies.
4. Communication and Consent
1.Email and Text (SMS) Notifications:
•By providing your email address and/or phone number, you consent to receive communications from us, which may include but are not limited to appointment reminders, workshop information, service updates, and donation confirmations.
•We may send text messages or emails to you for these purposes, subject to your consent.
2.Opt-Out:
•To stop receiving text messages, you can reply “STOP” to any text message you receive from us. Standard text messaging and data rates may apply.
•You can unsubscribe from marketing or informational emails by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link in the email or by contacting us at [Insert Contact Email].
3.Message Frequency and Fees:
•The number of text messages or emails you receive may vary based on your interaction with our Site and services.
•SCCC does not charge for sending or receiving text messages, but your carrier’s standard message and data rates may apply.
5. Donations, Fees, and Refunds
1.501(c)(3) Status: SCCC is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 95-2430665). Contributions may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
2.Donation Transactions: When you make a donation through our Site, you authorize us to charge the credit or debit card information provided.
3.Fees for Workshops/Training: If you register or apply for workshops or training programs, you may be required to pay certain fees. These fees may be processed through Stripe, Blackbaud, or other third-party processors.
4.Refund Policy:
•All donations are final unless otherwise required by law. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us promptly.
•Workshop or training fees may be refundable in accordance with separate workshop/training terms or policies, if applicable.
6. No Medical or Emergency Advice
1.Informational Purposes Only: The Site provides general information and is not intended to substitute for professional medical, mental health, or legal advice.
2.Emergency Situations: If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or any other emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. The Site and our services are not a substitute for emergency care.

1.Ownership: All content on the Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of SCCC or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
