In today’s world we are surrounded by constructive and destructive forces. It is easy to get sucked in by the destructive forces such as fear or negativity which can lead to uneasiness, deep sadness, and disappointments. I believe therapy can be a great tool to shift your focus to more constructive forces within yourself, your family, and your environment. Therapy can help you to channel the pain into creation of a peaceful act, whether that’s developing greater self-compassion, or untangling any relationship issues.
My approach to therapy is warm, encouraging, insight- orientated, and strength-based. I also utilize Emotional Focused Therapy for couples, and narrative therapy along with Community &Trauma Resiliency Model to effectively and sensitively decrease symptoms of trauma, avoidance, depression, and anxiety.
I’m passionate to work with teens and adults with body-image and self-esteem issues, depression and anxiety. My personal journey as a refugee has influenced me to be more sensitive to cultural matters and diversities to help individuals and families who are struggling with the transition, and cultural differences
